Summary: Ryo is feeling insufficient.
Notes: Pure crack/fluff/lameness. Based on this weird dream I had of these two.
"Hey Uchi? Am I funny?" Ryo asked Uchi one day.
Uchi looked up from the Hey Hey Hey he recorded of Kanjani 8 to roll his eyes at his best friend. Was Ryo going to start that over again? He thought that the older would have gotten over it already, but apparently Ryo felt that he was still not good enough.
"Not as funny as Subaru, but funny." Uchi told the truth. Ryo had his moments, but he wasn't the funniest and Ryo would have probably gotten a lot more upset if Uchi lied, since Ryo seemed to know when Uchi was lying to him.
So when Ryo went to work the next day, he tried his best to be funny. He humped things at random, including Hina. (He got slapped really hard on the head, but it was worth the surprised look on the Tsukkomi's face) He made very weird faces at the camera (which scared all the little kids that were watching), and hung all over Yassu and Maru until they themselves pushed him off.
The next time he went over to Uchi's, he asked. "Was I funny?"
Uchi laughed and nodded. "Yes, you were funny." And Uchi wasn't lying, because watching Ryo try to be Subaru was the funniest thing in the world.
A week later found Ryo on his doorstep again. "Uchi? Am I cute?"
Uchi blinked in confusion for a second before sighing. "Not as cute as Tegoshi, but cute," Uchi told him as he let Ryo into his house so they could bake cookies together.
When Ryo went to Tokyo with NewS, he smiled so much that his cheeks started hurting. He made sure to laugh at everyone's jokes (even when they weren't jokes at all). He batted his eyelashes at the camera and made his eyes all big and innocent looking. He played around with Massu more than usual and agreed to go on imaginary dates with Koyama. He was considerate and nice to everyone (which made his band mates think he was sick or something). He even did the the Tegoshi hand thing when he was introduced by the MC.
When he got to Uchi's house he grinned at the taller boy. "Was I cute?"
"Absolutely adorable," Uchi nodded, pinching his best friend's cheeks.
The next week found Ryo in Uchi's bed, reading a magazine while Uchi played on his DS. "Ne, Uchi? Am I sexy?"
Uchi paused his game and looked toward Ryo, who had an article about Jin and his hips opened up. "Not as sexy as Jin, but sexy," Uchi replied and returned to playing his game.
During his next performance, he made sure to roll his hips and show a little tongue here and there. He smirked sexily and did that seductive narrowed eyes at the camera. He stripped a lot too, getting rid of his vest and shirt slowly and sensually (which he wasn't supposed to do, but the fangirls didn't mind).
Uchi greeted him off stage. "So, was I sexy?" Ryo asked eagerly.
Uchi got a feral glint in his eyes as he grabbed Ryo by the wrist and lead him toward an empty room. "Yes, you were very sexy," Uchi said as he proceeded to strip Ryo of whatever clothing he still had on.
"Ryo?" Uchi spoke up later, when they were laying on the carpeted ground, both of their clothing in scattered places around the room. Ryo grunted from Uchi's side, eyes remaining in a closed position. "You're funny and cute and sexy. But don't you think it's best to just be you?"
When Ryo returned to work (with his clothing back on) he snapped at someone at random. He was sarcastic and condescending and called Ueda up just so he could tease him about his Gackt obsession (Ueda hung up on him, but not before he started sobbing on the phone). He was snarky and an all around mean person and all of his band mates (from both groups) sighed in relief of having the old Ryo back. Having a second Subaru, Tegoshi and Jin was just too much.
When Ryo saw Uchi again, Uchi had a big smile on his face.
Ryo grinned back. "So, was I me?"
Uchi didn't reply, but threw his arms around his boyfriend and gave the other a kiss. Nishikido Ryo was the best as himself.
